Powered by a Japan automatic movement, BL-3135-01 features an ingenious patented bezel gear system for time and date adjustment. As part of the adjustment mechanism, the outer structure of the case harkens back to submarine clocks and timers that had to be opened from the front to be adjusted.
Ballast watches are inspired by naval history, using historic navy icons such as submarines in their watches designs that they are certainly unique in affinity towards positioning themselves on the historical site of the British Royal Navy. All of the watches are being named after various historical classes of submarines in the service, such as the Trafalgar and Valiant classes.
