Ocean plastic bracelet

This watch of the Bear Grylls Survival Master ECO series is equipped with a characteristic buckle and a 24 mm wide yellow bracelet. Only recycled plastic from the sea, the so-called #tide ocean material, is used for® the bracelet.

Any bracelet with the same lug width can be used with the watch.

About #tide ocean material®

The material consists of 100% ocean plastic and was developed in collaboration with Swiss scientists. On five islands of the Andaman Sea off the coast of Thailand, local fishermen are trained and rewarded to collect and sort plastic waste from the ocean. The #tide material initially consists of this plastic waste, which is then treated, cleaned and finally crushed by a sophisticated and sustainable process so that the plastic can be injected back into the necessary shape. By being used in the construction of watches, Luminox gives the material a new purpose, reduces the impact on the environment and contributes to the cleansing of the ocean. At the same time, the company enables the locals to learn a new skill and earn a regular income.
